Helena presented a reworking of dis-locate at Déda UK the dance house of the East Midlands in Oct 2010. This new version of the performance featured a section of movement choreographed in collaboration with the performers who appeared in the work: Lauren Davis, Antonia Wilson, Louise Mothersole, and Anais Lalange-all graduates from the Drama Department at Queen Mary, University of London.
This version of the work was performed without the chemical reactions that were featured in the premiere at Chelsea Theatre in 2009. During the reworking of dis-locate Helena focused on how the ideas of transformation, flux and processes inherent in the chemical reactions could be embodied in the movement language of the work. Helena would like to thank the performers, Queen Mary University of London and Chelsea Theatre for their support in the development of this reworking of the piece.
