SPILL Tarot Exhibition

I collaborated with Manuel Vason to create an image of the Magician for the SPILL Tarot, an exhibition running at the Barbican Centre as part of the SPILL Festival 2011 [18-24 April]. WEBSITE

About:
SPILL commissioned a collaboration between Pacitti Company, photographer Manuel Vason, designer Justin Weyers and 22 contemporary mavericks to each re-stage a tarot card. The result is a limited edition SPILL Tarot Pack.

The images feature Ron Athey, Marisa Carnesky, Franko B, Raimund Hoghe, Robert Pacitti, Lois Keidan, Lee Adams, Carla Esperanza Tommasini, Sheila Ghelani, Oreet Ashery, Rajni Shah, Noblesse Oblige, Vaginal Davis, Grace Ellen Barkey, Harminder Judge, Kira O’Reilly, Helena Hunter, Empress Stah, Dominic Johnson, Julia Bardsley, Manuel Vason and Yann Marussich.

The SPILL Tarot exhibition is a large format photographic display of the full deck of cards: 22 Major Arcana images, and the uncut printers’ sheets of the Minor Arcana.

Displacements | Install

Here are some images from the recent installment of Displacements, A Performative Exhibition at Jerome Zodo Contemporary, Milan. I spent a week in the gallery space working with Geraldine and her team installing the images and films for the exhibition alongside working on the performances. The exhibition featured printed images, films and performance excerpts from my recent works: The Other Room, Tracing Shadows and dis-locate. Special thanks to Geraldine and her amazing team and to Luca and Paolo for the documentation that will be available soon.
